RESOLUTION NO. 2017-770
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
THE DATE OF BID OPENING AS OCTOBER 5,
2017, SETTING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
OCTOBER 9, 2017, IN CONJUNCTION WITH ASBESTOS
ABATEMENT SERVICES AT 1100 GRANT AVENUE, 216-220
COMMERCIAL STREET AND 919-925 COMMERCIAL
STREET, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2017-747, AND
INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary specifications, form of contract, etc. in conjunction with
asbestos abatement services at 1100 Grant Avenue, 216-220 Commercial Street and 919-925
Commercial Street, be approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening in conjunction with asbestos abatement services at 1100
Grant Avenue, 216-220 Commercial Street and 919-925 Commercial Street, be scheduled for
October 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 9`" day of October
2017, for the purpose of considering and acting upon asbestos abatement services at 1100 Grant
Avenue, 216-220 Commercial Street and 919-925 Commercial Street.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing and bid opening in the Waterloo Courier.
Section 5. That Resolution
No. 2017-747 is hereby rescinded.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18'h day of September 2017.
