RESOLUTION NO. 2017-784
REQUEST AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CERTIFY
AGAINST PROPERTY LOCATED AT 313 COTTAGE STREET
FOR UNPAID GARBAGE, SEWER AND STORM WATER
FEES, AND CANCEL THE ASSESSMENT MADE IN
ERROR FOR 305 COTTAGE STREET, AND AUTHORIZE
CITY CLERK TO NOTIFY BLACK HAWK
COUNTY TREASURER OF SAID CHANGE.
WHEREAS, Iowa Code Section 384.84(3) allows municipalities to certify unpaid
garbage, storm water, and sewer fees to the benefited property as a lien.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to certify to the Black Hawk County
Treasurer all unpaid garbage, storm water, and sewer fees for property located at 313 Cottage Street
and cancel the assessment made in error for 305 Cottage Street, and authorize the City Clerk to
notify the Black Hawk County Treasurer of said change of assessment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September 2017.
