RESOLUTION NO. 2017-815
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTING INC. (PCI) OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $787,364.75, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
FOR THE FY 2018 WATERLOO BOATHOUSE
ENHANCEMENTS, CONTRACT 940, AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contracting Inc. (PCI) of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $787,364.75, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018
Waterloo Boathouse Enhancements, Contract 940, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contracting Inc. (PCI), submitted a written contract and certificate
of insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2017-790, after public hearing on September 25, 2017 in conjunction with the FY
2018 Waterloo Boathouse Enhancements, Contract 940.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
Section 1. That the bid of Peterson Contracting Inc. (PCI), in the amount of$787,364.75,
in conjunction with the FY 2018 Waterloo Boathouse Enhancements, Contract 940, is hereby
awarded.
Section 2. That the contract and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson
Contracting Inc. (PCI) in conjunction with the FY 2018 Waterloo Boathouse Enhancements,
Contract 940, is hereby approved.
Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of October 2017.
