RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF
GUILLERMO AND ROXANNE GALVEZ OF WATERLOO,
IOWA TO REZONE 3 . 62 ACRES FROM "A-1"
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "R-1" ONE AND TWO
FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTING ONE NEW SINGLE-FAMILY HOME,
GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF 2533 BURTON
AVENUE, AS JUNE 29, 2015, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN
HAROLD E. GETTY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, in the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 29th day of June,
2015, for the purpose of considering and acting upon an
application of Guillermo and Roxanne Galvez of Waterloo, Iowa to
rezone 3 . 62 acres from "A-1" Agricultural District to "R-1" One
and Two Family Residence District for the purpose of constructing
one new single-family home, generally located north of 2533
Burton Avenue, and legally described as follows :
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter
(SE 4 NE 4) of section No. 10, Township No. 89 North, Range
No. 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter
of said Section No. 10, point being set "mag" nail in A.C.C.
pavement; thence Due North along the East line of said
Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence South 890
23 4' West of distance of 33 . 0 feet to the West right-of-way
line of Burton Avenue, point being a set ' rebar with
license #16264 and the point of beginning; thence South 890
23 3�' West a distance of 628 . 45 feet to the Southwest corner
of said Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter; thence North 00004 3-4' West along the West
line of said Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter a distance of 251 . 9 feet to a set "
rebar with license #16264 ; thence North 89036 4' East a
distance of 628 . 8 feet to the West right-of-way line of
Burton Avenue, point being a set %g" rebar with license
#16264; thence Due South along said west right-of-way line a
distance of 249. 5 feet to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
