RESOLUTION NO. 2015-462
RESOLUTION TO CONCUR WITH THE DETERMINATION
OF COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR THAT THE PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE
APPROVED SITE PLAN TO DEMOLISH AN EXISTING
BUILDING WITHIN A "S-1" SHOPPING CENTER
DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
NEW 4, 876 SQUARE FOOT CHICK-FIL-A RESTAURANT,
LOCATED AT 1331 FLAMMANG DRIVE, IS MINOR AND
SHALL BE APPROVED AS A MINOR SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT .
WHEREAS, the Council concurs with the determination of the
Community Planning and Development Director that the proposed
change to the approved site plan to demolish an existing building
within a "S-1" Shopping Center District, and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve the request of Chick-Fil-A Restaurant
for a Minor Site Plan Amendment to the "S-1" Shopping Center
District to allow for the construction of a new 4, 876 square foot
Chick-Fil-A Restaurant, generally located at 1331 Flammang Drive,
and legally described as follows :
LOT 1 CROSSROADS PLAT NO. 2 WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said Minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said Minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Council concurs with the
determination of the Community Planning and Development Director
that the proposed change to the approved site plan to demolish an
existing building within a "S-1" Shopping Center District, and
that the Minor Site Plan Amendment to the "S-1" Shopping Center
District to allow for the construction of a new 4, 876 square foot
Chick-Fil-A Restaurant, generally located at 1331 Flammang Drive,
is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day oJune 2015 .
