RESOLUTION NO. 2017-857
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LODGE
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $100,979, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY
2018 SINK CREEK CHANNEL CLEANOUT AND SHAPING,
CONTRACT NO. 924, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of$100,979, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018 Sink Creek Channel
Cleanout and Shaping, Contract No. 924, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2017-855, after public hearing on October 16, 2017 in conjunction with the FY
2018 Sink Creek Channel Cleanout and Shaping, Contract No. 924.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO,IOWA
1. That the bid of Lodge Construction, Inc., in the amount of $100,979, in
conjunction with the FY 2018 Sink Creek Channel Cleanout and Shaping, Contract No. 924, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge
Construction, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2018 Sink Creek Channel Cleanout and Shaping,
Contract No. 924, is hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October 2017.
