Members present: Chairperson Welper, Cole, Schmitt, Lind, and Morrissey
Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Lind that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Five.
Motion carried.
Moved by Lind, seconded by Morrissey that request for authorization to begin the recruitment
process for an Administrative Secretary for the Community Development Department and make
an appointment, be approved. Ayes: Five. Motion carried.
Councilman Schmitt questioned if the individual hired for the position could start at a rate less
than $21.00 per hour. Suzy Schares, Human Resources Director, explained that wage steps
during a probationary period are not in place for administrative secretary positions at this time
and that this wage is less than what the current person earns.
With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Morrissey, seconded by Schmitt
that the meeting be adjourned at 5:03 p.m. Ayes: Five. Motion carried.
