RESOLUTION NO. 2017-871
REQUEST OF FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY FOR A VARIANCE
TO THE NOISE ORDINANCE NO. 3094, ON OCTOBER 27,
FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS WALK, TO BE HELD
AT LINCOLN PARK, INCLUDING THE USE OF A PA
SYSTEM, TOGETHER WITH RECOMMENDATION OF
APPROVAL OF CAPTAIN OF POLICE SERVICES.
WHEREAS, Friends of the Family is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
October 27, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Domestic Violence
Awareness Walk,to be held at Lincoln Park, together with recommendation of approval of
Captain of Police Service, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the request of Friends of the Family for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance, on October 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in conjunction with with the
Domestic Violence Awareness Walk,to be held at Lincoln Park,be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23`d day of October 2017.
