RESOLUTION NO. 2017-894
RESOLUTION AWARDING MOTOR GRADER RENTAL BID
TO MURPHY TRACTOR OF WATERLOO, IOWA, FOR THE
RENTAL OF FOUR (4) MOTOR GRADERS TO SUPPORT
SNOW OPERATIONS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $107,200, AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Murphy Tractor of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$107,200 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the motor grader rentals to support
snow operations, and
WHEREAS, Murphy Tractor submitted a written contract, per the specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2017-892, after public
hearing on October 23, 2017, in conjunction with the motor grader rentals to support snow
operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO,IOWA
1. That the bid of Murphy Tractor, in the amount of$107,200, in conjunction with
the motor grader rentals to support snow operations, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract submitted by Murphy Tractor in conjunction with the motor
grader rentals to support snow operations is hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of October 2017.
