Redevelopment Plan is an economic development area within the meaning of Iowa Code Section 403.17(10).Such area is appropriate for commercial and indus- 1 Printer's Bill $47.52 trial enterprises and is eligible for an urban renewal project and otherwise meets all requisites under the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 403.The general scope of urban renewal activities in the area involves the rehabilitation,conserva- tion,development,and redevelopment of such area, or a combination of such activities in the area, to promote continued growth and development of commercial activities in the area through various public purpose and special financing activities outlined in the Plan. These activities are deemed necessary in the interest of the public health,safety or welfare of the residents of the City of Waterloo. The Plan Amendment is an amendment to the Northeast Industrial Area Urban Renewal and Redevelopment Plan (the 'Plan"), originally adopted in 1993 and subsequently amended in 2004 and 2015. Among other modifications to the Plan, the Plan Amendment proposes to add the L Signed following additional areas to the Plan: The Northeast Y4 of the Southeast Y4 of Section 21,Township 89 North,Range 12 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian,Black Hawk County,Iowa.
