Plan is an economic development area
within the meaning of Iowa Code Section
403.17(10).Such area is appropriate for ,
commercial and industrial enterprises and Printers Bill $48.48
is eligible for an urban renewal project
and otherwise meets all requisites under
the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 403.
The general scope of urban renewal
activities in the area involves the
rehabilitation,conservation,development,,!
and redevelopment of such area, or a
combination of such activities in the area,
to promote continuedgrowth and devel-
opment of commercial activities in the
area through various public purpose and
special financing activitiesoutlinedIn the
Plan. These activities are deemed
necessary in the interest of the public
health,safety or welfare of the residents
of the City of Waterloo.
The Plan Amendment is an amendment
to the Northeast Industrial Area Urban
Renewal and Redevelopment Plan (the
"Plan"), onggmally adopted in 1993 and
