RESOLUTION NO. 2017-920
RESOLUTION AWARDING THE RECYCLING PROCESSING
FACILITY TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF WATERLOO'S
CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM BID TO CEDAR
VALLEY RECYCLING & TRANSFER OF WATERLOO, IOWA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,000, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1)
YEAR AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BOND AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Recycling & Transfer of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in
the amount of $32,000, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Recycling
Processing Facility to support the City of Waterloo's Curbside Recycling Program, and
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Recycling & Transfer submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2017-853, after public hearing on October 16, 2017 in conjunction with the
Recycling Processing Facility to support the City of Waterloo's Curbside Recycling Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Cedar Valley Recycling & Transfer in the amount of$32,000, in
conjunction with the Recycling Processing Facility to support the City of Waterloo's Curbside
Recycling Program, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bonds and certificate of insurance submitted by Cedar Valley
Recycling & Transfer, in conjunction with the Recycling Processing Facility to support the City
of Waterloo's Curbside Recycling Program, is hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November 2017.
