RESOLUTION NO. 2017-1022
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BOLAND
RECREATION INC. OF MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $53,750, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2018 MARK'S PARK
RESURFACING PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Boland Recreation Inc. of Marshalltown, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of$53,750, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018 Mark's Park
Resurfacing Project, and
WHEREAS, Boland Recreation Inc. submitted a written contract, bonds and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2017-999, after public hearing on December 11, 2017 in conjunction with the FY
2018 Mark's Park Resurfacing Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Boland Recreation Inc. in the amount of$53,750, in conjunction
with the FY 2018 Mark's Park Resurfacing Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bonds and certificate of insurance, submitted by Boland
Recreation Inc. in conjunction with the FY 2018 Mark's Park Resurfacing Project, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December 2017.
