RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT AND
CONTRACT EXECUTION WITH AFFORDABLE HAZARDS
REMOVAL, INC. OF MONTICELLO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $17, 600 . 00 FOR THE REMOVAL OF
ASBESTOS, CONTRACT NO. 140-AR-12-05-11-GO FOR
STRUCTURES LOCATED AT: 116 W. PARKER STREET,
312 CHARLES STREET, 318 E. 9TH STREET, 332
IRVING STREET, 1114 JEFFERSON STREET, 1116-
1118 JEFFERSON STREET, 213 N. BARCLAY STREET,
129 RICKER STREET AND 135-137 UNIVERSITY
AVENUE; AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the contract and contract execution with Affordable Hazards
Removal, Inc. of Moticello Iowa, in the amount of $17, 600 . 00, the
removal of asbestos, Contract No. 140-AR-12-05-11-GO for
structures located at : 116 W. Parker Street, 312 Charles Street,
318 E. 9th Street, 332 Irving Street, 1114 Jefferson Street,
1116-1118 Jefferson Street, 213 N. Barclay Street, 129 Ricker
Street and 135-137 University Avenue described in the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project in Resolution No. 2010-954, after public hearing on
October 25, 2010 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby awarded, the same being the apparent lowest bid for said
project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 2011 .
