RESOLUTION NO. 2011-1137
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT AND
CONTRACT EXECUTION WITH BENTON' S SAND &
GRAVEL, INC. OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $28, 555 . 00 FOR THE DEMOLITION AND
SITE CLEARANCE OF THE FORMER VAN EATON SCHOOL
LOCATED AT 2170 BURTON AVENUE, CONTRACT NO.
175-D-CDBG-12-12-11 AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the contract and contract execution with Benton' s Sand &
Gravel, Inc. of Cedar Falls, Iowa in the amount of $28, 555 . 00 for
the demolition and site clearance of the former Van Eaton School
located at 2170 Burton Avenue, Contract No. 175-D-CDBG-12-12-11
described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council for said project in Resolution No. 2011-1105, after
public hearing on December 5, 2011 on published notice required
by law, be and is hereby awarded, the same being the apparent
lowest bid for said project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 2011 .
