Iowa, met in Special Session in the City at 7:00 P.M. on February 13, You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. on Thursday, February 13, 1975, and that said Special Meeting is being called for the purpose of a workshop on the proposed 1975-1976 Fiscal Budget You are further notified that no other business except the above will be transmitted at said Meeting. Getty offered the.invocation. 67271 - Moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm that the Copies of the Call for the Special Meeting of February 13, 1975 at 7:00 P.M., be received and placed on file. Motion carried. 67272 - Mayor Rooff reported on the progress being made on the proposed 1975- 1976 Fiscal Budget, briefly outlined the problems to be solved, and stated he wanted to hold the budget increase to 10%. He thanked Dean Albrecht, Larry Rust, Don Temeyer and Katherine Gibbs for the many overtime hours spent on budget work. The Council reviewed the proposed Budget, deliberated over various items and suggested areas for budget cuts and for obtaining addi- tional revenue. 67273 - Moved by Wilharm, seconded by Roehr that five new vehicles be allocated to the Police Department in the proposed budget. On roll call, Berdell, Geiger, Roehr and Wilharm voted Aye. Nay: Getty, Keller and Lichty. Absent: None. Mayor declared the motion carried. 67274 - Moved by Roehr, seconded by Wilharm that the accomplishments in cut- ting the proposed Budget this evening be approved, and the Mayor, after meeting with Department Heads on Friday, February 14, 1975, authorized and directed to make whatever further cuts seemed necessary. On roll call, Berdell, Geiger, Getty, Keller, Lichty, Roehr and Wilharm voted Aye. Nay: None. Absent: None. Mayor declared the motion carried. 67275 - Moved by Getty, seconded by Lichty that the Council adjourn. Motion carried. Katherine Gibbs, City Clerk
