RESOLUTION NO. 2018-068
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO SOFT PLAY
OF HUNTERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $74,999, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PHELPS YOUTH
PAVILION PLAYSCAPE PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Soft Play of Huntersville, North Carolina, submitted a bid in the amount of
$74,999, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Phelps Youth Pavilion Playscape
Project, and
WHEREAS, Soft Play submitted a written contract, bonds and certificate of insurance,
per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No.
2018-066, after public hearing on February 5, 2018 in conjunction with the Phelps Youth
Pavilion Playscape Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Soft Play in the amount of $74,999, in conjunction with the
Phelps Youth Pavilion Playscape Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bonds and certificate of insurance submitted by Soft Play in
conjunction with the Phelps Youth Pavilion Playscape Project, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February 2018.
