Members present: Mayor Rooff, Anders, Krizek, Getty, Mollenhoff,
Murphy, Collier, Jordan.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
Bob Stevenson, Administrative Director, informed the Council that
the DNR approved 1 Million Dollars in energy improvements to be
funded with a low interest loan from Norwest Bank. This loan is
then paid back with the funds freed up through energy savings
realized after improvements are made. The estimated term for
payback of the loan is five to six years. Mr. Stevenson presented
a list of recommended projects and total cost analysis that has
been provided by the Energy Group.
After discussion of the projects, the council gave its endorsement
to proceed with the lighting projects by using City staff.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty,
seconded by Collier that the meeting be adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
