Members present: Mayor Rooff, Jordan, Collier, Krizek, Mollenhoff,
Anders, Murphy, Getty.
Moved by Krizek, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
The FY 1995 Budget Review Committee's report was presented to the
Mayor and Council. George Scully, Chairperson, thanked the
committee members who served with him. He informed the public and
the Council about the process of interviewing the department heads
and assigning a committee person to each department as the general
spokesperson. He presented the General Mission Statement and the
committee's twenty (20) general comments and recommendations. Mr.
Scully highlighted a couple of the general recommendations.
Recommendations Nos. 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 17 were pointed out as the
major recommendations of this committee. He also presented the
committee's recommendations for each department above the general
comments.
Councilperson Krizek, who worked closely with the Budget Review
Committee, thanked the committee. She stated they were very
objective in their goals and reviewed this like a business and
presented ideas to run it as a business. They were very
conscientious in their work, and she wanted to commend all of them
on the work they did.
Mayor Rooff also thanked them for their time and effort spent on
this budget process and presented each member with a framed
Certificate of Appreciation.
With no further business before the Council, it was moved by
Mollenhoff, seconded by Krizek that the meeting be adjourned at
5:51 p.m. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
