The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at City Hall Council
Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa at 11:45 A.M., on December 31, 1981. Mayor Rooff in the Chair. On
!Roll Call: Present: Getty, Penaluna, Roehr, Wilharm, Bowers, Dowie. Absent: Burton.
8.1693 - Moved by Wilharm, seconded by Dowie
to receive and place on file copies of the notice of the Special Meeting. Motion
carried.
The Mayor declared that the purpose of said meeting was to close-out the year's
business.

Moved by Roehr, seconded by Dowie
Adjournment. Motion carried.

(Roll Call: Present: Getty, Penaluna, Roehr, Wilharm, Bowers, Dowie. Absent: Burton.
1181695 - The City Clerk then administrated the Oath of Office to Mayor Rooff and City Council.
Moved by Bowers, seconded by Getty
to receive and place on file the Oath of Offices for the Mayor and City Council.
Motion carried.
As prescribed under law, Mayor Rooff administered the Oath of Office to Councilman
Burton on Monday evening, December 28, 1981.
Mayor Rooff then asked that Dr. Robert Davis give the invocation.
181696 - Moved by Wilharm, seconded by Dowie
that the appointment of Jack L. Roehr as Mayor Pro Tem for the years 1982-83 be
received, filed and approved. Motion carried.
$1697 - Moved by Roehr, seconded by Bowers
that Blanket Bond No. BDS078505 in the amount of $5,000 covering all classes of City
Employees and Bond No. S0716744E of Thomas G. Campbell, City Treasurer, in the amount
of $10,000, both with Northwest National Insurance Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as
surety, be received, placed on file and approved. Motion carried.
