SPECIAL SESSION _
April 30, 1973 - 5:00 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session in the
City Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City at 5:00 o'clock P.M. on
April 30, 1973, pursuant to the following call:
TO: CITY COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held at the Council Chambers in the City
Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5°00 o'clock P.M. on Monday, April
30, 1973 and that said Special Meeting is being called for the purpose of
"Holding a public hearing on the proposed plans and specifications
and proposed form of contract for construction of Sewage Treatment
Plant Improvements, Phase V, and receiving bids for such improvements."
You are further notified that no other business except the above will be
transmitted at said Meeting.

Due, timely and legal service of the above notice is hereby accepted this
30th day of April, 1973 by me, a duly elected qualified and acting Council-
man of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.

63715 - Moved by Miller, seconded by Keller that the Copies of the Call for the
Special Meeting of April 30, 1973 at 5:00 P.M. be received and placed on
file.
Motion carried.
63716 - Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Cohea that the proof of publication of
the "Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Plans and Specifications and
Proposed Form of Contract for construction of Sewage Treatment Plant Im-
provements -Phase V in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and Taking of Bids for
such Improvements", be received and placed on file.
Motion carried.
63717 - The Mayor announced that the time had arrived to hear objections, if any,
to the proposed plans and specifications and proposed form of contract,
etc. for the construction of Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements, Phase
V, in tie City of Waterloo, Iowa, and asked if any one present wished
to be heard or make objection, or if there were any written objections
filed with the Clerk.

No one appeared to object orally, and the Clerk reported that no written
objections had been filed.
Thereupon, it was moved by Mabrey, seconded by Miller that Resolution Noe
22524, confirming the approval of the plans and specifications, form of
contract, etc. for the construction of Sewage Treatment Plant Improve-
ments, Phase V, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be adopted.
On roll call, Cohea, Keller, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey voted Aye. Nay
None. Absent: Cavanaugh and Dykeman. Mayor declared the resolution
adopted.
63718 m Moved by Keller, seconded by Cohea that Resolution No. 22525, ordering
the construction of the Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements, Phase V, in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be adopted.
On roll call, Cohea, Keller, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey voted Aye.
Nay: None. Absent: Cavanaugh and Dykeman. Mayor declared the resolu-
tion adopted.

63720 - Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Cohea that the bids be received, placed
on file, referred to the Engineers for checking and report back to the
Council on May 7, 1973, and the City Clerk instructed to return the cert-
ified check of the unsuccessful bidder.
