P M on August 29, 1973, pursuant to the following call° TO CITY COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 4:00 o'clock P,M. on Wednesday, August 29, 1973, and that said Special Meeting is being called for the purpose of "A public hearing on the proposed plans and specifications, form of contract, cost, etc. and the taking of bids for the construction of Conway Square, a Convention Center," You are further notified that no other business except the above will be transmitted at said Meeting. Motion carried. 64386 - Moved by Cavanaugh, seconded by Morrissey that the proof of publication of the Notice of Hearing on proposed plans and specifications, proposed form of contract, estimate of costs, etc. for the construction of Conway Square, a Convention Center, be received and placed on file. Motion carried. 64387 - The Mayor announced the time had arrived to hear objections, if any, to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, estimated cost, etc. for the construction of Conway Square, a Convention Center, on the site bounded by West Fourth Street, West Park Avenue, Commercial Street and Jefferson Street, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and asked if any one present wished to be heard or make objection, or if there were any written objections filed with the Clerk. No one appeared to object orally, and the Clerk reported no written ob- jections had been filed. There being no objections made of filed, it was - 2 - 64387 - (Continued) moved by Mabrey, seconded by Cohea that Resolution No. 22778, confirming the approval of the plans, specifications, form of contract, estimated cost, etc. for the construction of Conway Square, a Convention Center, on the site bounded by West Fourth Street, West Park Avenue, Commercial Street and Jefferson Street, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be adopted. On roll call, Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Keller, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey voted Aye. Nay- None. Absent; None. Mayor declared the resolution adopted. 64388 - Moved by Keller, seconded by Miller that Resolution No. 22779, ordering the construction of Conway Square, a Convention Center, on the site bounded by West Fourth Street, West Park Avenue, Commercial Street and Jefferson Street, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be adopted. On roll call, Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Keller, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey voted Aye. Nay: None. Absent; None. Mayor declared the resolution adopted. 64389 - Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Mabrey that the proof of publication of the Notice of Advertisement for Bids for the construction of Conway Sq- uare, a Convention Center, on the site bounded by West Fourth Street, West Park Avenue, Commercial Street and Jefferson Street, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be received and placed on file.
