SPECIAL SESSION
October 12, 1972 - 12:00 NOON
The City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session in the
City Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City at 12:00 Noon on October 12,
1972, pursuant to the following call:
TO: CITY COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
You are hereby notified that a Special. Meeting of the City Council of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held at the Council Chi.bers in the
City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 12:00 o'clock Noon on. Thurs-
day, October 12, 1972, and that said Special Meeting is being called
for the purpose of
"Holding a hearing on the proposed Budget for the Year 1973,
for the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
and
Adopting a Budget for the Year 1973, for the City of Waterloo, Iowa."
You are further notified that no other business except the above will be
transmitted at said Meeting.

Special Meeting of October 12, 1972 at 12:00 Noon, be received and placed
on file.

Motion carried.
Moved by Cohea, seconded by Mabrey that the proof of publication of the
"Notice of Hearing" on the Budget Estimate for the Year 1973 for the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, be received and placed on file. Motion carried.
Mayor Turner reported the Budget for Year 1973 will be approximately 22
mills lower due to receiving revenue sharing from the Federal Government,
which is reflected in this Budget.
The Mayor announced the time had arrived to hear objections, if any, and
asked if any one present wished to be heard or make objection, or if
there were any written objections filed.
The Clerk reported no written objections had been filed and no one appear-
ed to object orally.
Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Cavanaugh that the Budget for the Year
1973 be approved as previously read and published in the Waterloo Daily
Courier on the 28th day of September, 1972, and it shall be as hereinafter
