The City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Adjourned Session in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall in said City at 12:00 Noon on February 8, 1973.
Mayor Pro Tem Miller in the Chair.
Present: Councilmen Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey.
Absent: Councilman Keller.

This being the time and place fixed in the published notice for the con-
sideration of proposals for the purchase of $5,500,000 Civic Center Bonds,
the Council proceeded accordingly.
The meeting was thrown open for the receipt of bids for said bonds.
Moved by Morrissey,
be received, placed

on file, but NOT OPENED, and sealed bidding closed:

63380 - Moved by Cohea, seconded by Cavanaugh that the proof of publication of
the Notice of Sale of $5,500,000 Civic Center Bonds of the City of Water-
loo, Iowa, be received and placed on file.
Motion carried.
63381 - The results of the bids were incorporated in a resolution which was intro-
duced and caused to be read in full by Councilman Dykeman.
Moved by Mabrey, seconded by Dykeman that Resolution No. 22409, providing
for the sale and award of $5,500,000 Civic Center Bonds and approving and
authorizing the agreement of such sale and award, be adopted, said sale
being to Carleton D. Beh Co. and Blyth Eastman Dillon & Co., Inc,, Joint-
ly of Des Moines, Iowa at a net interest rate of 4.65787.
On roll call, Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey
voted Aye. Nay: None. Absent: Keller. Mayor Pro Tem declared said
resolution duly adopted and signed his approval thereto.
63382 - The Council took up for consideration and caused to be read in full a res-
olution entitled as listed below:
Moved by Cavanaugh, seconded by Mabrey that Resolution No. 22410, a reso-
lution providing for the issuance of $5,500,000 Civic Center Bonds of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and providing for the payment of the princi-
pal and interest of said bonds, be adopted.
On roll call, Cavanaugh, Cohea, Dykeman, Mabrey, Miller and Morrissey
voted Aye. Nay: None. Absent: Keller. Mayor Pro Tem declared said
resolution duly adopted and signed his approval thereto.
63383 - Moved by Morrissey, seconded by Cohea that the Clerk be instructed to
return the certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders.
Motion carried.
63384 - Moved by Cohea, seconded by Mabrey that the Council adjourn.
Motion carried.
