HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/25/91CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION November 25, 1991 6:00 p.m. Large Conference Room Members present: Mayor McKinley, Angel, Buck, Budak, Brown, Dell and Wright. Members absent: Fox. Mayor Bernie McKinley presented a 15 minute video on the conservation and reclamation of the area's rivers. The video depicted two areas including the Cedar River Valley and the Cedar Lakes Project in Black Hawk County. Rod Larson, a representative of INRCOG, presented a proposed bike trail project throughout the metropolitan area. Mr. Larson stated that he wanted to update the City Council on the possibilities that could take place throughout the Black Hawk County area as far as bike trails are concerned. Mr. Larson presented maps showing the property already under control of the public sectors of Black Hawk County and the trails proposed running from Cedar Falls through the City of Waterloo and down to the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. Mr. Larson stated that there could be a potential for some federal funding on the proposed bike trails. With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. Larry P.
