The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Regular Session at
City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa.at 7:00 p.m. on August 20,
1984. Mayor Bowers in the Chair. Roll call: Getty, Lichty,
Penaluna, Klinger, Dowie and Wright. Absent: Seeber.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS
86289 - Rick Cleaver, 1940 Ansborough Avenue, opposed the widening of
Ansborough Avenue from two to four lanes from U.S. Highway 218 to W.
Ridgeway Avenue. He opposed it for the following reasons: destroys
residential character of the neighborhood, increase in track
ark, noise pollution, danger to children in the neighborhood cross-,
rig

-lane road, and reduces property values. He suggested that the
H--,ckett Road alternate be investigated.
Pat Tatum, 1934 Ansborough Avenue, opposed the widening of Ansborough
Avenue, Phase II. She asked those present opposing the traject to
stand. She stated that she did not oppose the project from U.S.
Highway 63 to U.S. Highway 218. She asked that the money be
reprogrammed for repair of City streets.
