The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at
City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa at 4:00 p.m. on July 7,
1983. Mayor Pro -Tem Roehr in chair. Roll Call: Getty, Roehr,
Wilharm, Bowers, Penaluna. Absent: Dowie and Burton.
84267 - Moved by Getty, seconded by Wilharm
that the Call for the Special Meeting for July 7, 1983 be received
and placed on file.
Motion carried.
Councilman Penaluna now present.
HEARING
84268 - Moved by Bowers, seconded by Getty
that proof of publication of notice of public hearing on the
submission of application of 25 units of Section 8, Existing Housing
Assistance Payments Program, as published in the Waterloo Courier on
June 21, 1983, be received and placed on file.
Motion carried.
84269 - Gene Colburn, Waterloo Housing Authority Executive Director, reported
that this application would be for low-income family rental units.
This application contains none for elderly.
HOLD HEARING --This being the time and place for public hearing the
Mayor Pro -Tem called for written and oral objections and there were
none.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Bowers
that "Resolution by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
as the Waterloo Housing Authority, authorizing its managing agent,
the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, to make application to the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 25 Units of
Section 8 Existing Housing, Project No. IA05-EO50-007", be adopted.
Ayes: Four. Nays: Wilharm. Absent: Burton and Dowie.
Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor Pro -Tem assigned No.
1983-267.
