RESOLUTION NO. 2015-571
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF THE BUILD OUR
BALLPARK FOUNDATION IN COOPERATION WITH THE CEDAR
VALLEY SPORTSPLEX TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL KIDS RACE AND
5K FUNDRAISER ON AUGUST 15, 2015 FROM 8 : 00 A.M. TO
10 : 00 A.M. , COMMENCING AT THE CEDAR VALLEY
SPORTSPLEX AND CONCLUDING AT THE INTERSECTION OF
JEFFERSON STREET AND WESTFIELD AVENUE, AND
APPROVING CITY BARRICADES AND TRAFFIC CONTROL.
WHEREAS, The Build our Ballpark Foundation in cooperation
with the Cedar Valley Sportsplex made a written application to
the City Council asking that they be authorized and permitted to
hold its Annual Kids Race and 5K Fundraiser on August 15, 2015,
and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 8 : 00 a.m. , with the route
commencing at the Cedar Valley Sportsplex and concluding at the
intersection of Jefferson Street and Westfield Avenue at 10 : 00
a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Build our Ballpark
Foundation in cooperation with the Cedar Valley Sportsplex to
hold its Annual Kids Race and 5K Fundraiser on August 15, 2015
beginning at 8 : 00 a.m. , with the route commencing at the Cedar
Valley Sportsplex and concluding at the intersection of Jefferson
Street and Westfield Avenue at 10 : 00 a.m. , is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2015 .
