RESOLUTION NO. 2015-573
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF THE WATERLOO
CENTER FOR THE ARTS FOR THE CLOSURE OF JEFFERSON
STREET FROM PARK AVENUE TO 3" STREET IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE SOCIAL ACTION INC. , FAMILY
FUN FESTIVAL FROM 8 : 00 A.M. TO 9: 00 P.M. ON JULY
24, 2015 AND JULY 25, 2015 .
WHEREAS, The Center for the Arts made a written application
to the City Council asking that the closure of Jefferson Street
from Park Avenue to 3rd Street in conjunction with the Social
Action Inc. , Family Fun Festival be authorized, and
WHEREAS, said event will be held from 8 : 00 a.m, to 9 : 00 p.m.
on July 24 and July 25, 2015 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Waterloo Center for the
Arts for the closure of Jefferson Street from Park Avenue to 3rd
Street, in conjunction with the Social Action Inc. , Family Fun
Festival from 8 : 00 a.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. on July 24, 2015 and July
25, 2015, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of July 2015 .
