RESOLUTION NO. 2018-110
REQUEST FROM AMY O'BRIEN AND JILL SIRES FOR A
VARIANCE TO THE NOISE ORDINANCE ON SEPTEMBER
22, 2018, FROM 3:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M. IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE ROCK THE LOOK EVENT, TO BE HELD ON
JEFFERSON STREET BETWEEN 5TH AND 6TH STREETS,
INCLUDING A BAND, PA SYSTEM AND THE USE OF CITY
BARRICADES.
WHEREAS, Amy O'Brien and Jill Sires is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on September 22, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Rock the Look
event, to be held on Jefferson Street between 5th and 6th Streets, including a band, PA system
and the use of city barricades, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Amy O'Brien and Jill Sires for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance, on September 22, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Rock
the Look event, to be held on Jefferson Street between 5th and 6th Streets, including a band, PA
system and the use of city barricades, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of February 2018.
