The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Regular Session at City Hall Council
Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa at 7:00 P.M., on Monday, June 21, 1982. Mayor Pro -Tem Roehr in the
Chair. On Roll Call: Present: Getty, Penaluna, Roehr, Wilharm, Bowers, Burton, Dowie.

82634 - HOLD HEARING --This being the time and place of hearing, the Mayor Pro -Tem called for
written and oral objections and there were none.

that "Resolution approving the sale of Disposal Parcel No. A-15 in the
Westfield -Virden Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Iowa -R-7, and authorizing
execution of the necessary contract for sale of land for private redevelopment
and deed", be adopted. Ayes: Seven.

82637 - Councilman Bowers asked that a building demolition report be supplied to the Council,
particularly, the status of the Lafayette and Washington Buildings.

that the request of J.C. Feed Mills to resurface and blacktop Mitchell Avenue and
Sheffield Avenue (east of U.S. Highway 218), be received, placed on file and referred
to the Street and Engineering Departments.

82638 - Several residents complained of the encounters they have had with Waterloo Cablevision
with bill payment and service. Those appearing and airing these concerns were Pat
Gilbertson, 442 Reber Avenue, and Lucille Ennenga, 506 West Wellington.
Councilman Burton suggested that he and the Cable TV Commission would be interested in
investigating the above situation.

that the above remarks be received, placed on file, and referred to Councilman Burton
for discussion with the Cable TV Commission.

82668 - Councilman Getty raised several questions regarding the issuance of a Beer and Liquor
License Permit (Class C) for Urban Enterprises, Inc., dba Charlie Brown's, 120 Sumner,
relating to compliance with City Building regulations. Mr. Roosevelt Roby, applicant
for said establishment, stated that the necessary inspections had been completed.
Curt Parsons, Building Official, reported that several permits including heating,
and electrical had not been issued.
