Mayor Rooff in the Chair. On roll call, Present: Burton, Dowie, Hutchison, Wilharm. Absent: Bowers, Getty, Roehr. Invocation by Councilman Wilharm. 75550 - Moved by Dowie, seconded by Burton that the Agenda, as proposed, for the Regular Session of December 26, 1978 at 7:00 P.M., be accepted and approved. Motion carried. 75551 - Moved by Burton, seconded by Dowie that the Minutes of the Regular Session held December 18, 1978 at 7:00 P.M., be approved. Motion carried. 75552 - Moved by Dowie, seconded by Hutchison that proof of publication of notice of public hearing to sell Disposal Parcel No. F-17 and F-18, in Westfield -Virden Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Iowa R-7, 700 block Falls Avenue, as published in Waterloo Courier on November 22, 1978, to Empire Realty, Inc., be received and placed on file. Motion carried. 75553 - This being the time for hearing, the Mayor called for oral and written objections, and there were none. Moved by Burton, seconded by Dowie that "A resolution approving the sale of Disposal Parcel No. F-17 and F-18 in the Westfield -Virden Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Iowa R-7, and authorizing the execution of the necessary contract for sale of land for private redevelopment and deed", be adopted. Ayes: Four. Absent: Roehr, Getty, Bowers. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor, assigned No. 26130. 75554 - Moved by Burton, seconded by Wilharm that request from Donald L, Hender- son, 134 Letsch Road, et al, for Council on its own motion to rezone from "R-3" Multiple Residence District and "R-2" One and Two Family Residence District to "R-1" One and Two Family Residence District approximately 86 acres of land bounded by Rainbow Drive on the north, proposed Hackett Road Bypass on the west, Maynard Avenue on the south, and a north -south extension of Ardmore Street on the east, as shown on attached plat, to deter multi -family residential development, and City Zoning Commission's recommendation for denial, be received, placed on file, action deferred, and referred to the Legal Department.
