Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session in the Council
at 4:30 P.M. on April 13, 1978, pursuant to the
TO CITY COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, will be held in the Council Chambers in City Hall,
in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 13, 1978,
and that said Special Meeting is being called for the purpose of a second
hearing and consideration of the Fiscal 1979 Budget.
You are further notified that no other business except the above will be
transmitted at said Meeting.

Due, timely and legal service of the above notice is hereby accepted this
10th day of April, 1978 by me, a duly elected, qualified and acting Council-
man of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.

Mayor Rooff in the Chair. On roll call, Present: Bowers, Burton, Dowie,
Roehr. Absent: Getty, Hutchison, Wilharm.
73978 - Moved by Burton, seconded by Dowie that Copies of the Call for the
Special Meeting of April 13, 1978 at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Cham-
bers in City Hall, be received and placed on file. Motion carried.
73979 - Moved by Bowers, seconded by Roehr that proof of publication of
Notice of Second Hearing on the Budget Estimate for the 12 month
period of July 1, 1978 through June 30, 1979 for the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, be received and placed on file. Motion carried.
73980 - Mayor Rooff announced the time had arrived to hear objections, if
any, and called for written and oral objections. The Clerk reported
no written objections had been filed and no oral objections were
made.
After giving opportunity for all desiring to be heard, it was
Moved by Dowie, seconded by Bowers that "A resolution adopting the
Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 1978, for the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, for the second time", be adopted as set forth in
the Budget Summary Certificate and in the detailed budget in support
thereof, and the City Clerk be and she is hereby instructed to file
the adopted Budget with the County Auditor as provided by law, said
Budget being in words and figures as shown on the following page...
(see page 2) Ayes: Four. Absent: Getty, Hutchison, Wilharm.,
Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor, assigned No. 25676.
