RESOLUTION NO. 2015-650
RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH IOWA NORTHLAND
REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS FOR $85, 000 FOR
THE UPDATE OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
SIGN AND EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, The City of Waterloo (hereinafter referred to as
the City) has agreed to the Intergovernmental Cooperative
Agreement creating the Iowa Northland Regional Council of
Governments (hereinafter referred to as the Planning Agency) and
is a member in good standing;
WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage the Planning Agency to
update their Comprehensive Plan;
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement gives
the Planning Agency the responsibility outlined in Chapter 28E,
Code of Iowa.
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of
Waterloo, Iowa that the Planning Agency be retained to update its
Comprehensive Plan.
