RESOLUTION NO. 2015-651
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO VIETH
CONSTRUCTION CORP, OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $205, 996. 70, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
FOR THE F. Y. 2016 GETTY LAKE TRAIL, CONTRACT NO.
870, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Contract, Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance with Vieth
Construction, Inc. of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the amount of
$205, 966. 70, in conjunction with the FY 2016 Getty Lake Trail,
Contract No. 870, described in the plans specifications
heretofore adopted by this Council for said project in Resolution
No. 2015-633, after public hearing on August 10, 2015 on
published notice required by law, is hereby accepted, and the
same being the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council .
