RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE REQUEST
OF IOWA HEARTLAND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR A
SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE "R-1, R-P" PLANNED
ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING 14 NEW SINGLE-FAMILY
HOMES LOCATED AT THE FORMER IRVING ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL AT THE CORNER OF HAWTHORNE AVENUE AND
W. 6TH STREET, AS JULY 13, 2015, AT 5 : 30 P.M.
IN HAROLD E. GETTY COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 13th day of July, 2015, for
the purpose of considering the request of Iowa Heartland Habitat
for Humanity for a site plan amendment to the "R-1, R-P" Planned
One and Two Family Residence District for the purpose of
constructing 14 new single-family homes located at the former
Irving Elementary School at the corner of Hawthorne Avenue and W.
6th Street, and legally described as follows :
Auditor Francis Reitzel Plat Lot 10, Lot 11, Lot 12,
Lot 13 Exc that part Lots 11 and 12 to City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
