RESOLUTION NO. 2015-654
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR THE MEMORIAL
BENEFIT RIDE AND DRIVE EVENT, HONORING BLACK HAWK
COUNTY SHERIFF' S DEPUTY TIMOTHY PETERSEN ON
SEPTEMBER 12, 2015, WITH THE RIDE/DRIVE DEPARTING
FROM THE ISLE OF CAPRI CASINO AT APPROXIMATELY
9: 30A.M. AND ENDING AT ELECTRIC PARK BALLROOM AT
3 : 00 P.M.
WHEREAS, The Black Hawk County Sheriff' s office made a
written application to the City Council asking that they be
authorized and permitted to hold a memorial benefit ride and
drive event on September 12, 2015, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 9 : 30 a.m. , with the route
commencing at the Isle of Capri Casino and concluding at the
Electric Park Ballroom at 3 : 00 p.m. , with limited traffic
assistance at the start of the route.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Black Hawk County
Sheriff' s office to hold a memorial benefit ride and drive event
on September 12, 2015 beginning at 9 : 30 a.m. , with the route
commencing at the Isle of Capri Casino and concluding at the
Electric Park Ballroom at 3 : 00 p.m. , is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of August 2015 .
