RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF LOST
ISLAND REAL ESTATE, LC TO REZONE
APPROXIMATELY 2 . 58 ACRES OF LAND FROM \'C-P"
PLANNED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "R-4, R-P"
PLANNED MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT,
GENERALLY LOCATED NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER
OF EAST SHAULIS ROAD AND HESS ROAD, AS AUGUST
10, 2015, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN HAROLD E. GETTY
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, WATERLOO, IOWA,
AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE
OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, in the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5: 30 p.m. on the 10th day of August,
2015, for the purpose of considering and acting upon an
application of Lost Island Real Estate, LC to rezone 2 . 58 acres
of land from "C-P" Commercial District to "R-4, R-P" Planned
Multiple Residence District for the purpose of developing the
site for single-family uses, generally located near the northwest
corner of East Shaulis Road and Hess Road, and legally described
as follows :
Part of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1-4) of Section 11, Township
88 North, Range 13 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa being more particularly
described as follows :
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter (SE
11) ;
Thence North 0°12' 13" West, 33 . 00 feet on the west line of said
Southeast Quarter (SE 1-4) , to the north right-of-way line of East
Shaulis Road;
Thence North 89°34' 39" East, a distance of 1, 286. 37 feet on said
north right-of-way line of East Shaulis Road;
Thence North 0023' 27" West, 17 . 00 feet on said northerly right-
of-way line of East Shaulis Road;
Thence North 8903439" East, 130 . 30 feet on said north right-of-
way line of East Shaulis Road, to the Point of Beginning.
From the Point of Beginning, thence North 002521" West, 95 . 84
feet;
Thence North 4303835" East, 419 . 50 feet;
Thence South 37002' 29" East, 97 . 65 feet; Thence South 31059' 03"
East 148 . 17 feet;
Thence South 0026' 23" East, 192 . 64 feet, to said north right-of-
way line of East Shaulis Road;
Thence South 89034' 39" West, 427 . 61 feet on said north right-of-
way line of East Shaulis Road, to the Point of Beginning.

The above described parcel contains 2 . 586 acres, more or less . I
further state that the bearings shown on this plat are in
Reference to Grid North as determined from Iowa State Plane
Coordinates System, North Zone, NAD 83 (2012 adjustment) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
