RESOLUTION NO. 2018-161
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO PETERSON CONTRACTORS, INC. OF REINBECK, IOWA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,709,078.89, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
FOR THE FY 2018 UNIVERSITY AVENUE
RECONSTRUCTION - PHASE I, CONTRACT NO. 933, AND
AUTHORIZE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa, have submitted a bid in the
amount of $8,709,078.89, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018
University Avenue Reconstruction- Phase I, Contract No. 933.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid, of Peterson Contractors, Inc. in the amount of$8,709,078.89,
is hereby awarded, and the contract bond, and certificate of insurance in conjunction with the
FY 2018 University Avenue Reconstruction- Phase I, Contract No. 933, described in the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council with Resolution No. 2018-099, after public
hearing on February 19, 2018 on published notice required by law, are hereby approved and
authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of March 2018.
