HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/11/1997COUNCIL WORK SESSION August 11, 1997 5:45 p.m. Large Conference Room Members present: Mollenhoff, Krizek, Getty, Anders. Members absent: Jordan, Murphy, Collier. Moved by Krizek, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Four. Absent: Jordan, Murphy, Collier. Motion carried. Bob Stevenson, Administrative Director, reviewed proposed facility improvements. The following projects were reviewed: Project Costs Home Depot $583,340 Jail $ 30,000 Five Sullivan Brothers $250,000 Carnegie Annex $110,000 City Hall $ 80,000 Station on Franklin $120,000 Memorial Hall $ 98,500 A summary of cost and proposed funding for each project was reviewed. Jordan, Murphy, Collier now present at 5:57 p.m. Mayor Rooff stated that we need to proceed cautiously and look at the total picture. We are looking at the buildings the city currently has and their potential use. Moved by Anders, seconded by Murphy that the discussion on the council's goals and objectives be tabled for one week. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Mollenhoff, seconded by Jordan that the meeting be adjourned at 6:20 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
