Members present: Mayor Rooff, Murphy, Jordan, Krizek, Anders,
Getty.
Members absent: Collier, Mollenhoff.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Getty that the Agenda, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Five. Absent: Collier, Mollenhoff. Motion
carried.
Tonight's council agenda was reviewed. The contract with Aspro,
Inc. & Subsidiaries for the F.Y. 1997 Asphalt Overlay Program,
Contract No. 529, was discussed. Councilperson Jordan questioned
if there were any penalties stipulated in the contract if the
contractor does not finish the project on time. The council would
like next year's overlay program to be finished earlier.
Councilperson Getty suggested that the barricades on Irving Street
be removed if the city approves vacating the portion of East 7th
Street between Walnut and Franklin Streets.
Mayor Rooff stated that the grass in the Sherwood Park area is
getting high. He suggested that Community Development clean the
area up since we now own portions of Sherwood Park.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by
Krizek, seconded by Getty that the meeting be adjourned at 6:55
p.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Collier, Mollenhoff. Motion carried.
