Members present: Mayor Rooff, Getty, Jordan, Anders, Murphy,
Krizek, Mollenhoff.
Members absent: Collier.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Murphy that the Agenda, as proposed,
be approved. Ayes: Five. Absent: Collier, Mollenhoff.
Mayor Rooff and Councilmembers reviewed several items that are on
tonight's council agenda. The request of Dan Fencl, 1613 Wakonda
Drive, for a variance to Section 33-10 of the Code of Ordinance to
allow for a second driveway which would access West Donald Street
was reviewed. Councilmembers were concerned that the driveway was
already poured before this item was placed on the agenda. They
questioned why the item was not placed on the agenda to allow for
council approval prior to the work commencing.
Councilperson Mollenhoff now present at 6:48 p.m.
The Council and Mayor also reviewed the Resolution to authorize a
3 percent increase for non -bargaining employees. It was the
consensus of the council that the wording of the resolution be
changed to read Resolution to approve a total amount not to exceed
3 percent of payroll as budgeted for non -bargaining employees for
Fiscal Year 1998.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty,
seconded by Jordan that the meeting be adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
Ayes: Six. Absent: Collier. Motion carried.
