RESOLUTION NO. 2018-165
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMISSION OF AN
OPPORTUNITY ZONE APPLICATION TO IOWA ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that
the Opportunity Zones Application dated March 19, 2018, to the Iowa Economic Development
Authority, requesting funds designed to nominate low-income community census tracts to
encourage long-term private investments in low-income communities, is hereby approved, and
the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of March 2018.
