ORDINANCE NO. 5265
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A 20 FOOT WIDE BY
APPROXIMATELY 110 FOOT LONG STORM SEWER
EASEMENT LOCATED ON LOT A OF CROSSROADS
RETAIL CENTER ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, as follows:
That part of Lot A in "Crossroads Retail Center
Addition" to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Lot A;
thence along the East line of said Lot A South
00°18' West a distance of 5.53 feet to the Southerly
line of an existing Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said Southerly line South 69°43'20"
West a distance of 163.38 feet to the East line of an
existing Storm Sewer Easement, being the point of
beginning;
thence along the East line of said Storm Sewer
Easement South 00°234' West a distance of 112.91 feet;
thence North 80°48' West a distance of 20.24 feet
to the West line of said Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said West line North 00°234' East a
distance of 105.22 feet to the Southerly line of an
existing Storm Sewer Easement;
thence along said Southerly line North 82°23'35"
East a distance of 12.62 feet;
thence along said Southerly line North 69°43'20"
East a distance of 8.02 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 2,170 sq. ft.
Note: The East line of said Lot A is assumed to bear
South 00°18' West for this description;
shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, subject to the
following conditions:
1. The request would not appear to have a negative impact
on the surrounding area.
2. The request would not appear to have a negative impact
upon drainage in the area, as a new 24" storm sewer
would be constructed approximately 65' to the east in a
newly dedicated storm sewer easement.
