REQUEST FROM AMERICAN LEGION POST 138, SONS OF
POST 138, FOR TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE OF THE
700 BLOCK OF COMMERCIAL ON SATURDAY, APRIL 21,
2018 FROM 5:45 P.M. TO 6:30 P.M., TO FACILITATE A POW-
MIA CEREMONY, TO INCLUDE AN HONOR GUARD
GIVING A 21 GUN SALUTE.
WHEREAS, American Legion Post 138, Sons of Post 138 are requesting the temporary
street closure of the 700 block of Commercial Street on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 5:45 p.m.
to 6:30 p.m., to facilitate a POW-MIA ceremony, to include an Honor Guard giving a 21 gun
salute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of American Legion Post 138, Sons of Post 138 for a
temporary street closure, on April 21, 2018, from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to facilitate a POW-MIA
ceremony, to include an Honor Guard 21 Gun Salute,be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2 day of April 2018.
