RESOLUTION NO. 2018-211
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO ASPRO, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,226,902.06, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR. THE FY
2018 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM, CONTRACT NO. 943,
AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aspro Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, has submitted a bid in the amount of
$1,226,902.06 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2018 Asphalt Overlay
Program, Contract No. 943.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid, of Aspro, Inc. in the amount of $$1,226,902.06, is hereby
awarded, and the contract bond, and certificate of insurance in conjunction with FY 2018 Asphalt
Overlay Program, Contract No. 943, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council by Resolution No. 2018-184, after public hearing on March 26, 2018 on published
notice required by law, are hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of April 2018.
