RESOLUTION NO. 2018-241
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO K.
CUNNINGHAM CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. OF CEDAR
FALLS, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF $770,396.25, AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2018 ANSBOROUGH AVENUE
IMPROVEMENTS FROM US HWY. 20 TO SAN MARNAN
DRIVE, CONTRACT NO. 942, AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, K. Cunningham Construction Co., Inc. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has
submitted a bid in the amount of$770,396.25 and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with
the FY 2018 Ansborough Avenue Improvements from US Hwy. 20 to San Marnan Drive,
Contract No. 942.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that the bid, of K. Cunningham Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of
$770,396.25, is hereby awarded, and the contract bond, and certificate of insurance in
conjunction with the FY 2018 Ansborough Avenue Improvements from US Hwy. 20 to San
Marnan Drive, Contract No. 942, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this
Council by Resolution No. 2018-202, after public hearing on April 2, 2018 on published notice
required by law, are hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed
to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of April 2018.
