RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 4, 2018 TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY MICHAEL
DAHL AND BRIAN KENNETT TO REZONE
APPROXIMATELY 2.74 ACRES OF LAND FROM "A-
1"AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "R-1" ONE AND TWO
FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR FUTURE
LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT, LOCATED
AT 4245 WEST 4TH STREET, AND INSTRUCT CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 4th day of June 2018,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon the request of Brian Kennett to rezone
approximately 2.74 acres of land from "A-1"Agricultural District to "R-1" One and Two
Family Residence District to allow for future low density residential development, located at
4245 West 4th Street and legally described as follows:
THE NORTH 360 FEET OF THE WEST 365 FEET OF THE SOUTH ONE-
HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION NO. 8, TOWNSHIP
NO. 88 NORTH, RANGE NO. 13 WEST OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY,
IOWA
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
