RESOLUTION NO. 2018-443
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID FOR THE
MOWING OF CITY OWNED LOTS GENERALLY ACQUIRED
THROUGH IOWA CODE 657A TO B&B LAWN CARE, INC.,
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AT $19.75 PER LOT, OPTION A
LOTS UNDER ONE ACRE AND $57 PER ACRE FOR OPTION
B LOTS 1 ACRE OR MORE, INCLUDING THE CONTRACT,
BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.
2018-400.
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$19.75 per lot, Option A lots under one acre and $57 per acre for Option B lots 1 acre or more, and
is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the mowing of city owned lots generally acquired
through Iowa Code 657A, and
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bon and certificate of
insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution
No. 2018-398, after public hearing on June 4, 2018, in conjunction with the mowing of city owned
lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO,IOWA
1. That the bid of B&B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of$19.75 per lot, Option A lots
under one acre and $57 per acre for Option B lots 1 acre or more, in conjunction with the mowing
of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract bonds and certificate of insurance submitted by B&B Lawn Care,
Inc., in conjunction with the mowing of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code
657A, are hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of June 2018.
