RESOLUTION NO. 2018-419
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO ABATEMENT
SPECIALISTS OF CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT REMOVAL SERVICES AT
807 E. 4TH STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,777 AND FOR
809-811 EAST 4TH STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,485.
WHEREAS, Abatement Specialists of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, submitted bids for asbestos
abatement removal services at 807 E. 4th Street in the amount of $3,777 and for 809-811 East
4th Street in the amount of $4,485, and
WHEREAS, Abatement Specialists submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2018-417, after public hearing on June 11, 2018, in conjunction with the asbestos
removal services at 807 and 809-811 E. 4th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Abatement Specialists in the amount of $3,777 for 807 E. 4th
Street and $4,485 for 809-811 E. 4th Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Advanced
Environmental in conjunction with the asbestos abatement removal services at 807 and 809-811
E. 4th Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of June 2018.
